Here are some of the most common questions we receive…
1.What’s the difference between Jerky and Biltong?
JERKY IS MARINATED AND DRIED AT A HIGH HEAT, BILTONG IS CURED AND SPICED THEN DRIED AT A LOW SLOW HEAT, RETAINING MORE MOISTURE AND REMAINS TENDER. This is great even for those with false teeth.
2.Are your products gluten free?
Yes, there may be some wheat and soy in the spices. However, they are vegan-friendly!
3. How hot is your Chilli
Our Chiili spice blend is organically grown and sourced directly from Tasmanian grower, the ‘flamin’ devil. This is a combination of 53 of the most hottest chillies in all of Asia. After many tastings and many beers, we finally have a chilli Biltong. The meat is still the star!
4. Do you offer bulk discounts or larger bags?
We think 80g is enough to keep your Biltong fresh and healthy! We all know that once you open a bag, you won’t be able to stop eating it!
5. What meat do you use?
We use 100% Australian Beef topside, which is prime tender and lean! It’s low in fat and naturally high protein, making it a healthy snack. But you should keep it from your partner and ankle biters.
6.Do you post internationally?
You can’t, but you can buy gifts for your family members and friends.
7.Why is Ring Stinga so popular? Not available in slices
It’s the Flamin Devil Chilli Flakes which give it that kick. If we seasoned a whole steak and then cut it, it would blow your mother’s socks off!
8.Do you practice Wet Biltong
There are many flavours and tastes to choose from, but we cannot cater to them all. So our motto is “to keep things simple”. We think you should give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.
9. Which beer pairs best with Bogan Biltong
Mr Bogan suggests xxxx, but any wet will work!
10. What flavours would you recommend?
We recommend them all, but as a guideline, ‘traditional’ is for people who like it savoury and ‘Chakalaka” for those who like it tangy and zingy. ‘Chili’ is for people who like heat. ‘Ring stinga’ is for those who want to give it a try!
11. When will your order be posted?
Unless otherwise stated, orders will be processed within 36 hours. We don’t want you to have withdrawal’s so we will do our best for you to get it there as soon as possible!
12. How do I receive my order?
We will ship your order via Australia Post Express. It’s not as fast as a fly on sausage sanga @ barbie, but CONSIDERING THAT WE ARE IN DARWIN NT’S TOP END, THIS IS THE QUICKEST AND WILL ALLOW YOU to TRACK YOUR ORDER. Don’t worry, no fly’s here!
