Tito’s handmade vodka is the first of a growing crop of handmade vodkas. The vodka is distilled in a pot still (6 times, which is a rare feat for vodka and more labor-intensive than a column still) and filtered through activated charcoal. The term “Handmade” is somewhat misleading in that they take bulk NGS/ethanol and redistill it. However, many microdistillers who ferment their own products (a more labor-intensive and expensive process) do not use that term.
The body appears clear as glass. It is heavier than water, but not too much. There is some glass formation, but not much – this indicates that they didn’t use thickeners to hide anything.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka Is Amazing
It has a very nice sweet corn smell (!). There are no off-notes, or the rubbing alcohol smell that can be caused by a poor or sloppy distillation. A very clean spirit. A sweet scent – this is no doubt due to the corn.
It tastes very smooth, it glides down your throat, and it is slightly hot at the finish. This lets you know that you are drinking vodka, but not the broken glass or rubbing alcohol finish you get with a poorly made vodka. The vodka has a great body without the need to resort to any tricks other people use.
This vodka works well in martinis and almost every other drink that we tried. It is great for many drinks, as the vodka has a slight sweetness.
This clear glass bottle showcases vodka to a great effect. A plain brown label with simple graphics stands out in a sea of frosted bottles. The vodka is simple and elegant.
Tito’s Final Thoughts
This is one of the best American vodkas. It’s cleaner than Avian Fashion Vodka, and costs about half the price. It’s a steal for the quality you get. It is very clean, smooth, easy to drink. The corn is another plus. For people with wheat allergies, it is gluten-free. Check out Their website. Want another specialist item contact us.
